Holding Animal Agribusiness Accountable

In addition to promoting a vegan lifestyle, a primary goal of World Farm Animals Day is to expose the inherent cruelties of animal agriculture. This year, we are imploring activists to take this element a step further by drawing attention to animal agribusiness’s corruption, unethical marketing practices, and questionable government relations.

Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) will be engaging in media blitzes to reveal the ways in which animal agribusiness manipulates the government, institutions, and a well-meaning public in order to sell more of their cruel products. Activists can take advantage of this national attention in order to support the strategy locally.

We have compiled a list of addresses of the offices of animal agricultural business associations and headquarters. Activists should stage spirited, media-worthy protests outside of these offices. Check out our action center for tips on staging effective events, garnering media attention, and conducting outreach.

We have also launched the Web site, www.animalagribusiness.com, which provides detailed information about the Top 5 Dirty Secrets of Animal Agribusiness, including violations of health and safety standards that impact humans, animals, and the future of our earth. The site also provides background material regarding the realities of animal farming, industry information, and what you can do to help.

Bus ads carrying the message of compassion are on display in 6 major U.S. cities and three television ads will air via DISH Network across the country. Check back for updates as our campaign continues.
